Nicole is an experienced lecturer and have presented to large and small group on a variety of subjects.  She is available to provide full or half day professional development trainings and lectures on the following topics:

Doula Trainings

Nicole began offering Sudharma Birth Services Doula Trainings in 2009 after noticing a clear need in Northeastern Pennsylvania.   Trainings are now being offered in a dynamic new way to meet the growing and changing needs of birth professionals.

The Birth Doula Training includes 10 virtual classes that can be attended in real time or downloaded and listened to at the student’s convenience.  Other requirements include required reading and practicum experience.

Classes include:

  3. A Flower Blooms:  Stage 1 Labor
  4. A Mother is Born:  Stage 2 and 3 Labor

  7. The Fourth Trimester:  Postpartum Needs
  8. Nourishing our Future:  Breastfeeding Basics for Birth Workers
  9. Effective Communication and Reflective Listening Skills for Doulas
  10. It’s Your Business:  The Basics of Your Doula Business

The Postpartum Doula Training includes 3 virtual classes, required reading, documentation of lactation training (either through attendance at a full La Leche League series, or by shadowing a Lactation Consultant), and practicum experience.
